Collection: Peter's Pottery
In 1998, the Woods Brothers (Peter, Joseph, Arthur, & Sandy) took all the resources they had to open a 10-foot by 17- foot shop to sell pottery on Fortune Avenue. The work area was 4000 square feet.
Crafted out of rich clay soil from Louisville and Columbus (“Mississippi Mud”), our pottery is not just beautiful but also functional. Our color palette includes Dogwood Brown, Dirty Jade, Bayou Blue, and our newest color, Cotton White.
Our potters put special emphasis on detail. The white pig stares, the green rooster crows, and the brown hen broods. Look through our inventory. You’ll see pensive frogs, smiling dogs, and playful squirrels and kittens. The vases show meticulous detail with attractive lines. Some pieces are whimsical, others staid. Lidded varieties of bowls and canisters incorporate the charming animal figures in their lids.
