Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Karen is a self taught artist that works in acrylics and enjoys creating with texture and color. She has had a love for art and a desire to create for as long as she can remember. Nature, along with the simplicity of everyday moments, is what truly inspires her. Wood is her primary canvas and she uses both palette knife and brush. Her hope is to create art that evokes a sense of nostalgia while capturing the charm of everyday life. She currently lives in Homewood, Alabama with her husband Bart, and their three children.
