Janice has lived in the Birmingham area all her life. In 2013, she decided to fulfill a life-long dream to learn how to paint. She has been very fortunate to have trained under Karen Libecap Amidon, Dori DeCamillis, Beth Bradley and in glass with Debbie Ballog and Pottery at Earthborne and with Daphne Ferguson. Later on, she expanded her mediums from Oil, Acrylic and Water Color to Gouache, Kiln Formed Glass, Resin, Alcohol Inks, Candle Making, Jewelry Making, Pottery, Mosaics and Metal Wall Sculptures. She is a member of The Mountain Brook Art Association, Hoover Arts Alliance, Shelby Council Arts Council, Alabama Designer Craftsmen, and Gulf Shores Art Association. Some of the venues she has participated in are Kentuck, Shelby County Adult Juried Show, Ruffner Mountain, Art Crawl and Art Walk, Rojo, Pelham Palooza, Kessler Lobby, Sacred Heart Gallery, Vestavia Walk of Art where she won First Prize, and Hoover City Hall Gallery.
