Collection: Ellen Pledger
Ellen Pledger is a full time local artist from Tuscaloosa County, where she prefers to be within walking distance of the Black Warrior River -- a constant in her ever-changing world. Enticed by the novel, Ellen’s acrylic painting genre is varied, anywhere from flowers and birds, to the occasional oversized eye.
Ellen often paints numerous paintings on top of each other, and is known to hide objects in her paintings such as lace and peacock feathers.
Ellen and her husband, Richard, live next to her Mother in the home where she grew up. If asked about hobbies, Ellen replies, “Chocolate and grandchildren.”
